MyBotGP Normal Pathology Filing Webinar Recap: Key Takeaways and Q&As

MyBotGP Normal Pathology Filing Webinar Recap: Key Takeaways and Q&As

On the 12th of February 2025, we hosted a webinar on our product—MyBotGP Normal Pathology Filing. We are pleased to inform you that we have now clients using MyBotGP to safely filter and manage over 182 normal pathology tests—freeing both clinical time and enforcing standardisation.

During the webinar, we answered a variety of key questions from attendees, which we’ve summarised below to give you a clearer understanding of how this product works.

  1. Will the hosted option work with SystmOne as well as EMIS?
A: Yes, it works with both SystmOne and EMIS.
  2. For tests that are reported numerically, if checks are only being made on the reference ranges, if a test is reported with text (such as unable to provide result), will they be set to abnormal, or would text checks need to be applied?
A: MyBotGP can recognise inconclusive tests based on your defined descriptions, such as “unable to provide result” or “inconclusive test,” and will skip filing them.
For numerical ranges, it checks both the reference range and specific keywords. If both conditions are met, the result is filed; if not, it is left for the doctor to review.
  3. How many times a day will it run, e.g., every 30 mins?
A: We schedule it to run several times a day based on average run times and list size, which determines how many pathology tests it processes.
  4. Anything in pipeline for abnormal results and generating tasks in SystmOne to deal with these?
A: Yes, we have a working model with our testing sites and expect it to be ready early next year. It takes time, but we’re 100% on it.
  5. How do practices sign up? Presumably there are IG documents that need to be signed as well?
A: Yes, we have DPIAs to share, covering the hosted platform and its delivery.
  6. In EMIS, how does the bot read groups of results that contain both normal and abnormal results?
A: For group-based tests with multiple pathology results, MyBotGP checks each test category. If any test is abnormal (out of range), the bot will skip and not file the entire batch.
  7. Any document processing in pipeline for Systmone?
A: We hope to go live with Docman filing for SystemOne, hopefully in the next 3 months.
  8. Can you please confirm what happens in the system if the lab updates a normal range for a test? Is the GP user notified, and then do they have to update check values in the MyBotGP system manually?
A: MyBotGP allows you to update rules and ranges as they change, unlike older automation systems. If a lab changes reference ranges, you can log in and update them. We are discussing adding an enhancement to flag range changes automatically for doctors.
  9. Will Docman document filing also be in a hosted environment?
A: Yes, all our tools will now work in a hosted environment.
  10. Please, can I ask about X-ray and USS reports?
A: Yes, X-ray and USS reports can be managed using keywords. Since they’re text-based and don’t have numbers, focusing on keywords works well.
  11. If we procure another AI or RPA system for another service, will there be a clash with your program?
A: No, it will work completely fine.
  12. Can you explain the AccuRx message in more detail? Do the messages only highlight normal results? So, say a result shows diabetes and the patient is known to have diabetes, what message would go in this case?
A: Yes, text messages are sent for normal results. If additional communication is needed, like for diabetes, that wouldn’t be tailored in MyBot It sends a generic message for normal pathology results, which you can customise, but it’s designed for standard, normal-result notifications.
