MyBotGP Normal Pathology Filing Webinar Recap: Key Takeaways and Q&As
On the 10th of January 2025, we hosted a webinar on our product—MyBotGP Normal Pathology Filing. We are pleased to inform you that we have now clients using MyBotGP to safely filter and manage over 182 normal pathology tests—freeing both clinical time and enforcing standardisation.
During the webinar, we answered a variety of key questions from attendees, which we’ve summarised below to give you a clearer understanding of how this product works.
Q) Do we need to inform patients that we are using this? We are sharing data in a way
A) The automation doesn’t store any personal information. It processes as a human; it just picks up the information and checks it against the logic set. But in no way does it store or hold any information.
Q) Can the bot be installed on a normal everyday-use PC in the practice, or does it require a dedicated PC for just the bot?
A) Yes, in principle it can work. But we are now setting up a virtual machine in the cloud; we will be providing the same.
Q) Is there a way of highlighting patients where we want to see normal results?
A) They are not highlighted; for clinical safety, we don’t have any input on how you manage your inbox or archive the emails. MyBotGP will mark everything.
Q) Is the £499 fee every year?
A) Yes, it’s a subscription-based program.
Q) Can the program be used to identify abnormal results and send an Accurx message to book the appropriate appointment, e.g., thyroid tests that require medication titration?
A) It’s built to be a normal pathology filing tool to book appointments, tests, etc. Some clients have set different ranges to save time; it all depends on practice level and how the message needs to be picked up.
Q) Does it know when all requested test requests are back and only send an accurx once when all are back and normal?
A) No, that’s quite challenging. If you think about it logistically, you will have to think of the average waiting time and then build an algorithm accordingly. So the rule is one message with one path test. Recently, we’ve noticed. A lot of practices don’t receive the funding, so they prioritise which tests need messages sent.
Q) Have you started offering the bot in the cloud? or still developing?
A) Yes, we have. We are trying with Cloud only from now onwards.
Q) What is the additional cost for the cloud system?
A) We will pop it over; it depends on the patient list.
Q) Do you offer a trial period?
A) We offer a 6-month paid trial; generally, it’s an annual rolling contract.
